Who is Donato Bramante?

Born in 1444 Fermignano - died in 1514-03-11 Rome


His real name was: Donato di Angelo Del Pasciuccio. He was an Italian architect and painter. He was educated in Urbino, then moved to Milan, where he was a precursor of Renaissance. After, because of political reasons he had to move to Rome. He was an architect and engineer of Pope Julius II. He took his inspiration from early Christian and ancient architecture, and other artists.
