Michelangelo Buonarroti - biography

One of the most famous Italian artists of the Renaissance. He worked as a painter, sculptor, poet and architect. He is the author of frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, his most known sculptures are the Pieta and David. Mostly worked in Bologna, Florence and Rome, with which he was the most related, and his works were placed under papal patronage.
