Who is Elies Rogent i Amat?
Born in 1821-07-06 Barcelona - died in 1897-02-21 Barcelona
Catalan architect. He studied at the School of Architecture in Madrid and was director of the Provincial School of Architecture of Barcelona since 1871. Among his outstanding works are the University of Barcelona or the restoration of the Monastery of Montserrat, among others. He declared himself an ardent follower of medieval architecture, a style he gave to his buildings and was professor of Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
