Who is Josep Oriol Mestres i Esplugas?
Born in 1815 Barcelona - died in 1895 Barcelona
Catalan architect. He studied at the Barcelona Llotja and complemented his studies in Madrid. He designed the first building in the Eixample district and also participate in the work of carrying out the neo-Gothic facade of the cathedral of Barcelona, according to master plans of Carles Galtés of Rouen. Along with Miquel Garriga is the author of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
