Chocolate Museum
The Museum of Chocolate ("El Museo del Chocolate" in Spanish) is located in the district of La Libera in Barcelona, which is part of the Citutat Vella district. It is dedicated to the history of the confectionery and the art of making it. The museum was created by the Bakers' Guild. It offers typical tourist visits as well as various workshops and events such as chocolate-making seminars, the evenings of chocolate, and concerts. Younger visitors may also celebrate their birthdays there, in the surroundings of sweet dainties. The museum i divided into different sections with rooms full of sweets and chocolates as well as places with machines used in chocolate production. It is also worth noting that this museum houses one of the oldest workshops which dates back to 1777. Currently the museum is one of the 10 most frequently visited museums in Europe.
