World Trade Center Barcelona
World Trade Center Barcelona is a business centre located next to the Port Vell. It was designed by the American architect Henry N. Cobb and opened in 1999. It has a unique boat-shaped structure that is well integrated with the surrounding it Mediterranean Sea. It is made up of four buildings which house many offices, conference rooms, and a 5-star Grand Marina hotel. The buildings are located within an area of 2,500 square metres.
Next to the Centre, we can see the Jaume I Tower which was designed by Carles Buïgas and is part of the cable railway. From the tower one can admire wonderful views over the sea and the city of Barcelona. The complex, with over 40,000 square feet of offices, is one of the most important economic centres of the city. Although, since all of the offices are private, the entrance to the building is not allowed for tourists.
