BT Tower - Telecom Tower
BT Tower, also known as British Telecom Tower or Telecom Tower, is a telecommunication tower located in the London Borough of Camden.
The 191-metre tall tower is one of the tallest buildings in London. It was constructed at the beginning of the 60s by a group of architects supervised by Eric Bedford.
The tower has a very distinctive appearance: it is a narrow, cylindrical, concrete structure, covered in glass. It is topped by television antennas, which after the introduction of ground-based transmitters became useless. However, after a thorough renovation of the tower it has been used as one of te biggest receiver in Great Britain as well as a viewing point.
