Who is Pius Weloński?
Born in 1849 Suwałki - died in 1931-10-21 Warsaw
He created mostly of allegorical compositions, religious, tombstones and portraits. His teachers were: Konstanty Hegel (sculpture) and Rafal Hadziewicz (painting).In the years 1872-1878 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg.In the years 1904-1915 he was professor and director of the School of Drawing in Warsaw (taught modeling),and since 1906 an honorary director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
