Rambla de Catalunya

La Rambla de Catalunya is a major shopping street in Barcelona. It is a three-lined street with boulevard for pedestrians in the centre and vehicular traffic on its both sides. It is located between Paseo de Gracia and Balmes Street and runs from the Plaza de Catalunya to Avenida Diagonal.

Along the central promenade there are lots of exclusive boutiques and shopping arcades as well as posh restaurants with open-air cafes. The street is also lined with numerous Modernist buildings designed by different architects. Here we can find the Casa Serra designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, the Casa Dolors Vidal de Sagnier by Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia, the Casa Asunción Belloso by Josep Domènech i Estapà, and the Bolós Pharmacy with a stained glass wooden door.

Also, there are numerous sculptures scattered around the street, such as "La girafa coqueta" (flirtatious giraffe) or "El toro sentado" (sitting bull) sculpted by Josep Granyer in the Noucentista style.
