The 'Aiguamolls de l'Empordà' is a wetland considered natural park. The park is located in the region of Alt Empordà in the town of Castelló d'Empúries.
It is located at the intersection of several rivers end (Ter, Fluviá, Daro and Muga). Natural marshes are of interest because of the large amount of flora and fauna can be found in them. In fact, together with 'Delta del Ebro' are one of the wettest areas in Catalonia with a rich bird life. Between all of them the most interesting birds are storks.
Speaking about aquatic fauna should be noted that since 1995 the government reintroduced otters in the wetland.
All the area has environmental interest and is protected by the government.
