Wielkopolska Uprising Museum

Wielkopolska Uprising Museum (1918-1919) is located in a building in the Old Market. The Museum documents the outbreak and the course of the Wielkopolska Uprising of 1918 - 1919. Besides history, shows the independence movement from the first half of the nineteenth century to the end of the interwar period. The collections include iconographic materials (photography, drawing, painting, sculpture), documents, uniforms, militaria, flags and decorations. Collections were opened to the public December 18, 2001. The museum was established in place of the former Museum of the History of Labor Movement, existing since 1961.
