Regent's Park - Primrose Hill
The Regent's Park, situated in the north-western part of central London on the boarder of the City of Westminster and the London Borough of Camden, is one of the Royal Parks of London. It spreads over an area of 166 hectares of woodlands and contains a boating lake, sports fields and children play areas. It is also home to the London Zoo, the world's oldest scientific zoo, and Regent's College, which is a private college.
Another noteworthy place in the park is the Primrose Hill, which is a 78-metre high hill located in the northern part of the park. From the hill there is a magnificent view on the downtown of London. In the park, there are also several public gardens, including Queen Mary's Gardens housing the Open Air Theatre, the formal Italian Gardens and adjacent informal English Gardens.
