Planetarium in Torun

Planetarium in Torun is a planetarium dedicated to Wladyslaw Dziewulski, which was opened in year 1994. Presents screenings of astronomical knowledge. Planetarium in Torun, whose first director was Lucien Broniewicz, was opened on February 17, 1994. On February 19 of that same year there was held the first astronomical demonstration.

In May 1995, slides presented by the projector in the planetarium were combined into a panorama. In November 1997, a system of "all-sky" was established, which allowed to cover the whole slide image of the dome. Since 26 June 2005 in the planetarium also runs an interactive exhibition - Orbitarium. Leading planetarium projector (model RFP) is produced the German company Zeiss.

The dome has 15 meters of a diameter, making it one of the three largest objects in Poland. There are 196 places for visitors.
