Gas Natural Headquarters

The new headquarters of the Gas Natural company is an impressive glass building located near the sea, close to the Ronda Litoral in the Barceloneta district of Barcelona. 150 years ago this place was occupied by the first gas factory in Spain, Catalana de Gas.

The building of the company has an innovative structure of three separate buildings clad in reflective glass and joined together in such a way that it forms one whole. All three parts of the building which make up the structure are arranged in different directions. The building is surrounded by green areas.

The building was designed by two architects: Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue, and was built in 2006. Now, being 20 storeys high and covering an area of twenty thousand square meters it is one of the stand-out buildings of the Barcelona's skyline.
