Collegium Altum w Poznaniu

Collegium Altum is a skyscraper belonging to the University of Economics, located at street Insurgents Wielkopolskich 16 in Poznan. Built in the years 1979 - 1991 according to the design from year 1976 done by Lech Sternal, Witold Milewski and Zygmunt Skupniewicz for the purpose of the library of the University of Economics. Tower has 78.45 m height (with mast 103.35 m) and has a cubic capacity of 83000 m³, while the usable area is approximately 17 thousand. m². Inside has 22 floors, 485 rooms including 43 classrooms. Collegium was performed using a steel skeleton structure and the facade lined with the characteristic red slabs of metal. The building is one of the tallest skyscrapers of Poznan, and is the characteristic element of the urban landscape.
