Acclimation Garden
The Acclimation Garden, located on the mountain of Montjuïc, is home to many unique and rare plant species. It was modelled on the ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian gardens and contains over 230 plant species unique to the city and, in some cases, also to Spain. The plants that can be found in the garden include the tree of saffron (Elaeodendron croceum), the palo blanco (Ealeodendron capense), as well as various vines, such as the giant honeysuckle tree (Lonicera hildebrandiana). The garden was created by Maria Nicolau Rubió.
