Who is Pierre Montreuil?

Born in 1200 - died in 1266 Paris


French architect. He is widely recognized as one of the most important proponents of Gothic architecture, though little is known of his life and sources vary as to which buildings are made by him. He was trained in Champaigne and the he worked in Basilique Saint-Denis among others. Some works in the Notre Dame Cathedral are also attributed to him.
