Who is Alessandro Galilei?

Born in 1691-08-26 Florence - died in 1737-12-21 Rome


Alessandro Maria Gaetano Galilei was an architect and a mathematician member of Galileo's family. His works were made in Baroque architectural style, but after being in England he started to create in Classical style. He moved from Florence to Rome encouraged by Pope Clement XII. His the most famous work is the façade of Basilica of St. John Lateran in Vatican City.
