Museo Tatra

Tatra Museum is one of the oldest regional museums in Poland, located in Zakopane at ul. Krupówki 10. In total consists of five branches in Zakopane, one in Chochołów, Black Mountain, Jurgow, Łopuszna. It's full name is: the Tatra Museum of Dr. Titus Chałubiński.

Museum collects specimens of: rocks and minerals, flora and fauna, ethnographic typical for region of Podhale, Spisz and Orava and various works of art.

In addition it collects literature related to Tatra mountains (about 30 thousand volumes) and issues periodicaly a newspaper Rocznik Podhalański.
