Ciudad Jardín Falkenberg
Falkenberg Garden City is a modernist housing estate in south-east Berlin, built between 1913 and 1916. It was designed by Bruno Taut inspired by the concept of Garden City initiated by Ebenezer Howard. In july 2008 Falkenberg, and 5 others modernist housing estates in Berlin, have been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
According to Howard's ideas the Garden City was supposed to combine the benefits of the city, such as good infrastructure, with the lots of green spaces typical for countryside.
