Barceloneta

Barceloneta's Beach is one of my least favourite beaches in Barcelona. It is usually overcrowded (finding a spot for your towel may be quite a challenge) and pretty dirt. It is also very noisy, both during the day (people trying to sell you a beer, fanta, cola or water will haunt you all day long!) and night (noises from the clubs and bars nearby can really get on you nerve). Also, beware of the pickpockets! Many a time have I seen someone being robbed. All in all, I wouldn't really recommend it, there are many other beaches in Barcelona that I think are far better than this one. Don't believe the hype!
