Puerta Nueva de Bisagra
Puerta Nueva de Bisagra, is the gateway to the ancient part of Toledo, named in that way because in the neighbourhood there is another - older and smaller gate - La Puerta Antigua. This monumental gateway is part of the city walls of Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). The modern name comes from its original name Bib-xacra, which according to the texts of the twelfth century, means "Gate of the sacred."
Its origin is Muslim. From this period is preserved it's main part. In the sixteenth was rebuilt by Alonso de Covarrubias. It consists of two separate parts, namely two high walls that form the patio between them.
