Portico of Glory

The Portico of Glory is a Romanesque portico located in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It was created by Maestro Mateo and his colleagues for King of León Ferdinand II, who donated for this purpose one hundred maravedis annually, from 1168 till 1188. The latter is a date inscribed in stone and indicates it's completion.
