Girona Wall
Medieval wall in Girona is preserved in good condition and still surrounds the old town of Girona. Walking through it you can enjoy great views of the city. To get to the wall you have to first pass through the old Jewish quarter (call jueu) and reach the road around the old walls from the Carolingian period (ninth century) and late Middle Ages (the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries) which surround the historic city center from the east.
Inside the walls, we can still find the remains of a Roman road (Via Romana). Walking through it we can visit all the interesting places: churches, cathedral, Arab baths, museums, and the Jewish quarter. The highest point is a defensive tower Torre de Gironella.
