Funicular on Parkowa Mountain

Funicular on Parkowa Mountain transports people from Krynica-Zdroj to the top of Mount Parkowa. It was built in 1937 as the first funicular in Poland this type. Operator is Polskie Koleje Linowe S.A.

The funicular in Krynica-Zdroj was built at the request of the League of the Promotion of Tourism. It was started on 8 December 1937.

It is a train with two carriages going on one track with the turnout in the middle  of the route (length 642 m). There isa a 148 m difference in altitude. It is the oldest funicular in Poland that was unchanged since 1937.
