The Forum Park (El Parc del Forum) is a park located by the sea in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona. It was built by the City Council for the "'International Forum of Cultures" - a multicultural event held in Barcelona in 2004, the main themes of which included: sustainable development, peace, coexistence and diversity of cultures. The location and the infrastructure of the park are such that the events held there do not disturb the residents living nearby.

The Forum is sitauted on a large, almost entirely paved, plain, where lots of small green areas and saltwater pools can be found thanks to the park's proximity to the sea. In the vicinity of the park, there are lots of reputable hotels and business centres as well as a large shopping mall "Diagonal Mar" and the International Convention Centre (ICC). Every year, several international music festivals are held in the park, including  Primavera Sound and La Feria de Abril.

The park is divided into several major areas. Near the entrance, we find the Forum Building, also known as the Auditorium. The building was designed by the Swiss architects: Jacquesa Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, and its main characteristic is its prism-shaped base formed by an equilateral triangle that is 180 metres long and 25 metres tall. The exterior of the building is made of rugged indigo material which is crossed by several panes of glass thus imitating the appearance of water spilled on its façade. Because of the sustainability issue, the building has several skylights to maximize the use of natural lighting as well as a few-feet deep swimming pool which by absorbing the changes in temperature insulates the building. The auditorium can accommodate 3200 people. Moreover, inside the building there is a 5000 square metres big conference room which is in constant co-operation with the ICC located on the other side of the street. Inside the building there is also a museum of the future and sustainable development of Barcelona, which was opened in 2005.

Next to the Forum Building we can find Plaça dels Afussellats, a square of about 7,000 square metres with a marvellous view of the sea and of the  construction site of the Maritime Zoo. Inside the park, one can also find the Plaza Photovoltaica designed by Jose Antonio Martinez Lapena and Elias Torres. This structure has an impressive surface of 10,500 square metres which generates solar energy, thus providing power supply to the park. To maximize the solar absorption, this photovoltaic surface is facing south at an angle of 35 degrees.

In the park we can also find a large Square Auditorium spreading over an area of 12,000 square metres, which is a coliseum-like structure covered with cobblestones in which various concerts and cultural events are held throughout a year.
