Egiptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum or Clos Archeology Foundation, located in Eixample district close to Passeig de Gracia, spreading over an area of about 2000 square metres, it offers a private collection of over one thousand pieces from ancient Egypt. This collection is unique in Spain. Three large chambers house mummies, sarcophagi, and other items related to the history of Egypt. Also, there is a library with over 10 000 documents and a room for holding temporary exhibitions. The museum offers guided tours led by professional egyptologists and, in the period between May and October,  tastings of products that were part of the diet of Nile civilization, known as the 'Eternal Feast'.
