Bois de Boulogne

The Bois de Boulogne is a park situated along the western edge of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, covering an area of approximately 850 hectares. In the northern part of the park lies the Jardin d'Acclimatation - a beloved by children zoo and botanical garden.

In the park, you can find a variety of trees, like oak trees, cedars, plane trees, ginkgo-bilobas, and many others. The park offers many different outdoor activities: strolling down the beautiful tree-flanked alleys, biking along the 15 km of cycling paths, exploring the 28 km of horse-riding trails, canoeing on the Lac Inférieur, or fishing in the still waters of many other lakes and ponds scattered around the park. The park is also very popular among the picnickers. It is worth mentioning that this area is infamous for night-time prostitution.
